Personally, I do not really agree with the conspiracy theorists who argue that the Bilderburgers are a secret organization that runs the World with more power than major democracies.

Yesterday, I re-blogged an excellent article entitled “Austerity and Demoralization” written by Robert J. Shiller and published by Project Syndicate. I received a detailed response from John Gelmini which I am sharing below linking the thread to the Bilderberg meeting and the increased tension in the Middle East. Personally, I hope that John is wrong in his conclusions.

Austerity on its own and for too long breeds the sort of resentment and trouble that will soon be upon us.
Canada and Eire told everyone that there would be 2 years of pain and at the same time they went for lower taxes, exports and inward investment to cushion the blow and create new jobs to replace the ones lost by austerity.
Canada’s economy is doing well and the country is moving towards prosperity and Eire is set to grow by 1.8% next year whereas the UK under Cameron and Osborne is at best going to manage 0.30% and with higher food prices and energy consumption up as a result of the poor and unseasonal weather even that is likely to be wiped out.
Neither Cameron or Osborne care about the socially corrosive effects of 2 million youngsters out of work, the bloated overseas aid bill and seem only to be interested in hounding cricket clubs, E-Bay Traders, mobile hairdressers, builders operating with cash, Avon ladies for more tax when as a result of their high tax policies billions remain hidden offshore.
On 6th June, the pair of them will meet at the Bilderberg meeting in the Grove Hotel in Watford with at least 120 other key Prime Ministers, Presidents, plutocrats, Royalty and of course the BBC which as per normal policy will report nothing. From that secret meeting will emerge the next policies and the anointed successor to Cameron who will take up his new UN job after he loses the election or sooner if he is replaced before May 2015.
Before then we face the prospect of an enlarged Middle East War as per the PNAC (Project For A New American Century ) plan to “take down” Iran, Syria, the Lebanon and create an enlarged Israel. This will be hard to control but may provide a means to solve the unemployment crisis of young non university educated people via conscription and making the wheels of industry (such as we have left), turn faster.
