The The Old Crown is a wonderful 17th Century coaching inn, less than 3 miles from Bath city centre in the lovely village of Kelston. Check it out!

Monday evening, the restaurant is shut, so if you happen to arrive around 6.00 PM you will find a delightful selection of hot snacks served at the bar to customers (free of charge).

The beer is really good and I particularly like to local ale called “Butcombe” and the food is excellent and well priced.

When I leave the UK for my foreign travels, I shall no doubt miss an ocassional pint of Butcombe!
