Taking the slow road to Cyprus

Four weeks today, we shall be leaving the UK!

We plan to live in Cyprus and travel extensively.

Our first adventure will be getting to Cyprus by car!

Four weeks today, we shall be taking the Channel ferry from Dover to Dunkirk in France, and then spending a couple of days in Brugge, Belgium. We shall then head for Prague, taking two days to cross Germany. After Prague, we plan to visit Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest, Zagreb, Venice, Florence and the Amalfi coast, before taking a six-day cargo-cruise from Salerno, Italy to Limassol, Cyprus. The cargo-cruise will take our car as well as Marilyn and myself as passengers. We hope to arrive in Limassol June 8.

Well, that’s the plan anyway!

Four weeks ahead, I have started to plan what’s going in the car and as of yesterday it seems that I was talked into taking two cast iron frying pans – no kitchen sinks yet 🙂

For me, as the weeks pass, there is more and more evidence of David Cameron presiding over a seriously unequal society – see my blog “Winners and Losers in David Cameron’s Society
