This is an important theme for the FT today which has two other important articles:

- Editorial comment entitled Ben Bernanke and the US election
For me, it would seem that the Fed is being unduly cautious in not actioning QE3, wary of it being considered a political action ahead of the election.
Meanwhile, speculators will be rubbing their hands, knowing the QE3 or the likelihood of QE3 will trigger a rise in global markets.
