The Independent | Sacked – and angry. New awkward squad is out to get the PM.

I fear that this is will be the phoney war and we shall have to wait for the heavy-hitters to attack before David Cameron will be seriously vulnerable. Perhaps the Conservative Party Conference will give us some clues?

Any views?

This is an interesting article from the influential blog, Left Foot Forward. Check it out!

Reshuffle: Health: The five key priorities for Mr Hunt | Left Foot Forward.

Whilst I do not disagree with the five point plan, I still think that my gold standard is more relevent.

Regular readers will remember that this blog has consistently argued for the gold standard in political leadership to be:

  • Strong leadership
  • Overarching vision
  • Coordinated and carefully analyzed strategy, and
  • Fully risked assessed, properly costed  and effectively managed delivery plans

What really worries me is whether Mr. Hunt is a heavy-hitter? Or is one of David Cameron’s mice?

When you compare the above five point plan with the blog from John Gelmini on Effective Reform of the NHS, I fear the risk of more mice around the Cabinet table.

Any thoughts?
