For me, the good news is that because of the ECB‘s intervention, there is now a much greater chance of avoiding a Euro catastrophe. Now we need policy-makers to agree and stimulate growth, in my view.

Defining Middle Class – NYTimes.com.

Personally, I am a bit horrified at the thought of the US presedential candidates defining middle-class by annual earnings expressed in US Dollars. For me, this is a bit tacky and seems to monetarize things that should not be monetarized.

For me, the concept of “middle class” is more about culture and values. Certainly, in the UK I believe this to be the case.
