It’s good to see upside potential for Cyprus. According to the Economist, Cyprus would gain 3% GDP from resolution of the political stalemate that has divided the island for decades. Of course, there is also the benefit of the estimated Euro 80 billion of offshore oil and gas reserves. Finally, there are huge economic advantages in Cyprus distributing gas via Turkey.

After so much bad news for Cyprus, is there really a silver lining?
