This is an interesting interactive publication from the OECD. Check it out!

The interactive model allows you to rate eleven variables, like housing, education, environment etc. You can compare the results by country.
Personally, I rate the publication as a distraction and would prefer to see influential organizations like the OECD throwing their weight behind stimulating economic growth; this would relieve real misery for many millions of people.
