Harvard duo defend case for austerity – FT.com.

Is it possible that so much of the pain inflicted in the name of austerity was unnecessary or over-stated?

Surely, it’s time for alternative economic views to come into play, like the classic Keynesian demand stimulus with increased Public Sector investment?
