US reconsiders its opposition to arming Syrian rebels | World news | guardian.co.uk.
It seems that both the US and the UK governments’ have recognized that there is little public support for a full military engagement in Syria. Although the evidence of use of chemical weapons has been shared with all members of the UN Security Council including Russia, it seems that the quality of the evidence is degrading and not sufficiently conclusive.
Despite the humanitarian crisis in Syria, the view is that World opinion would only change with TV footage of direct casualties from chemical weapons.
It seems that President Obama is taking a very level headed approach to this crisis. Surely, this is right?
