Despite what UK Chancellor, George Osborne may say, based upon independent evidence,  UK healthcare compares poorly to other major countries in terms of  a number of critical variables including:

  • Health spending in the UK as a percentage of GDP is lower than the US, Germany, France & Holland
  • The number of hospital beds is well below OECD average
  • The number of MRI scanners is less than half the OECD average

Why won’t the UK political classes face up to the reality that the NHS is way past its sell-by date and should be scrapped & replaced with a better model, like for example from Germany?
