What was done in Royston is part of a bigger plan to link up all roads and put facial recognition cameras and ANPR on all of them so that motorists can be tracked wherever they go.

The plans have not gone away because of this notice

What ever happened to privacy in the UK?

    Two thoughts.

    Is the police force there to serve or control? Sometimes it appears to be the latter, I believe it is still the former.

    Privacy allegedly became an issue when people stopped believing in an all-seeing God. Is surveillance technology the new all-seeing deity that we need to fear?
