This is a MUST READ article by Laura Donnelly, Health Correspondent at the Telegraph into the recommendations of the independent report requested by UK Prime Minister, David Cameron, into the Staffordshire health scandal.

NHS staff could be prosecuted for ‘reckless neglect’ of patients – Telegraph.

Let me quote from the overview:

The review led by Prof Don Berwick, who advised US President Barack Obama on healthcare reform, has called for a new criminal offence to be created, so that those who deliberately or carelessly inflict patient harm could be punished.

Personally, I welcome these findings.

Any thoughts?
