This is a brilliant, MUST READ blog from Simon Wren-Lewis, economics professor at Oxford University, and a fellow of Merton College. Check it out!

via mainly macro: The wrong sort of recovery.

The article takes a very hard look at UK Chancellor, George Osborne‘s economic policy, concluding that it’s primarily focused on political engineering rather than the economic well-being of the UK.

Meanwhile, on economic competence, the Tory leadership always get in first and question Labour’s economic record, under the last Government, so it leads me to a powerful open question:

Why are the Labour Party so weak in challenging the economic leadership of David Cameron’s Government?

Any thoughts?
