This is a MUST READ article from the Israel National News. Check it out!

via Putin: No Evidence of Chemical Attack in Syria – Middle East – News – Israel National News.

The article reports that Putin tells Cameron “Show me the evidence!”.

For me, there are three thing to watch for in the escalating story:

  • The evidence
  • The breadth of international support for military intervention, and
  • The response from Putin

Because of Snowden’s asylum in Russia, relations between the US and Russia have seriously cooled this Summer.

I worry about the how the master chess player Putin will play with Obama and Cameron.

  2. The evidence in my view does not exist and even if it did who is going to prove it definitively one way or the other.
Probably ,”evidence” will be fabricated thus providing the pretext for the West to do what Cameron and Hollande with a reluctant Obama, wanted to do anyway.
The international support will not be there so the Kosovo model using NATO is the method that will be used to justify an illegal act of war against a state which as yet threatens no-one and whose leader,Assad, was duly elected and enjoys the support of 2/3rds of his people.
He may be a brutal dictator, thoroughly unsavoury and all manner of things we do not like but we have no right to depose him unless his people en masse say he should go.
The Syrian rebels are not united, fight amongst themselves, have attacked Orthodox Christian churches and are in favour of an agenda that is against our interests.
We should not train them, support them or provide them with arms because one day they will be our enemies and we will live to regret helping them.
    The response from Putin?
    Who knows?
