This is an excellent and informative article by Robin Harding and Richard McGregor in the FT. It’s HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, as a read in my view.

Personally, I think that Janet Yellen will be a popular and safe choice for the next chair of the Fed.

BUT, I wonder how long the popularity will last?

Any thoughts?

This is an excellent, MUST READ article from China’s People’s Daily Online. It’s reported as the most read article this morning. Check it out!

via China to play “positive, constructive” role at UN in solving Syria issue: FM – People’s Daily Online.

The article reports on Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

As I read the article, I wondered about a new power struggle at the UN Security Council with the UK and France subordinated, with the real power play being China/Russia’s position with the US.

Let me ask an open question:

Has Syria triggered a change in the political dynamics at the UN Security Council?

Any thoughts?
