This is a powerful and savage attack on the UK Coalition Government‘s betrayal of the elderly on social care costs. In my view, the Telegraph article is a MUST READ. Check it out!
Betrayal of elderly on social care costs – Telegraph.
Because of three years of economic mismanagement, with excessive austerity, David Cameron‘s government has savaged public services. However, legislation was supposed to provide a safety net for the elderly to stop them having to worry about selling their home to fund social care costs. It now seems that experts are saying that the safety net is too close to the ground.
Personally, I am increasingly worried at the level of spin-doctoring coming from David Cameron’s Coalition Government. See my blog entitled: George Osborne’s visit ignored in China’s media – People’s Daily Online – Home Page.
Let me turn this to an open question:
In your view, has David Cameron’s Government deliberately deployed spin-doctoring to deflect the elderly on elderly on social care costs?
Any thoughts?
