As a passionate believer in evidence-based policy, so I very much endorse Wren-Lewis’s argument and conclusions. For me as a trained researcher, I constantly look first and foremost for the evidence. Sadly, David Cameron‘s Government seems to be incredibly light on evidence, relying on spin and the blacker arts.

Let me turn this to an open question:

Do you agree that David Cameron’s Government is weak on evidence-based policy and strong on spin and the black arts?
