Opinion: Britain is educating its children for jobs that soon won’t exist-Telegraph-John Gelmini

Dr Alf is right about Mary Riddell, who like many people, completely misses the point on UK education.

The UK state education system is 44th in the world and 29th for numeracy and literacy.

It fails to impart life-skills, a work ethic, personal discipline or the ability to communicate and in the Fens and deprived areas it turns out blockheads who are unemployable full stop.

The jobs market of the future is global and requires language skills which in the UK are barely taught.
Secondly, with augmented reality, 3D printing, robotics, cybernetics, AI and other developments there will not be enough jobs even if the education system is improved.

We need 3% gdp growth for full employment, yet already there are 50 people chasing or not chasing every vacancy.

The next generation of these technologies will take that figure to 100 and beyond which means we need to completely rethink work, education and who gets what.

Teachers, politicians, editorial writers, the public and politicians are “all behind the 8 ball” because they propagate the myth that if only people gained more skills they could all get jobs.

The myth will become more threadbare until the population are ready for an adult debate.

Opinion: BBC’s six-year cover-up of secret ‘green propaganda’ training for top executives-Mail Online-John Gelmini

BBC Broadcasting House, Portland Place at the ...

The BBC is the propaganda arm of Central Government and its Directors General and bloated structure is greedy, capricious, wasteful and useless, in mt view.

Gnarled presenters gum up the works and as we are discovering, sometimes lead debauched lives, preying on the vulnerable and the impressionable.

The BBC has more than 100 managers earning more than £100,000 gbp a year and is in daily abrogation of its Charter by advertising, hiving off 15% of licence fee payers money into internet television, nepotism, cronyism and sucking up to its favorite actors, writers, presenters, musicians, artistes, playwrights, impresarios, sportsmen, sportswomen, cartoonists, pundits, newspaper men.

Its reports are one-sided and its reporters often left wing proponents of biased comment, supposition, hearsay, gnosticism, secular humanism and New Age psychobabble.

Those they dislike they pillory and give a hard time to often using NLP to denigrate them along with contemptuous body language.

Shapes and symbols are used in the introduction to the news as well as drumming and the technique of slowly zooming the camera into the face of a presenter whose head remains motionless to convey greater authority and who varies his tone to guide viewers and listeners to decide what is and is not important rather than news-casting objectively and letting people make up their own minds.

Dr Alf is too gentle with his remedy, I would sack the entire board of Governors, the Director General and all their hench-persons, flatten the structure and make the entire organisation live on subscriptions.

The licence fee would be abolished, the left-wing bias would stop, the wallowing in the past would stop and 85% of the repeats would stop along with any reference to Global Warming, Climate Change.
The dumbing down would stop too, so there would be fewer cookery programs, mindless game shows with puny prizes, less football, fewer soap operas, fewer quiz shows and the pensioning off of Wogan, Dimbleby, Bruce Forsythe and others long past their sell by date.
