Although I am a passionate environmentalist, I agree that science and politics should be kept apart. It is about time that politicians, the media, bureaucrats and scientists came clean and published all sides of the argument without bias.
Any thoughts?
Dr Alf is right we need proper debate and access to all the hard data and scientific opinion.
This, not just the views of George Monbiot and Professor Beddington and Professor Nurse who are given extensive endorsement and platform on the BBC along with Sir David Attenborough and people like Prince Philip who is on record as saying that he would like to come back as “A deadly virus because the biggest environmental problem is people”.
We need to hear from the Russian Academy of Sciences ,the scientists advising the Chinese and Indian Governments and from Professor Richard Lindzen, the world’s top oceanographer based at MIT.
We need to see the before and after pictures of the polar icecaps so that we can see with our own eyes whether the icecap is melting and we need accurate data on polar bear numbers which are rising.
Our problem may well be global cooling so it is important that we understand the true nature of the problem before we start to try and solve what could be the wrong one..
Thanks John. I agree with you
