This is today’s most popular news story in Russia’s leading newspaper, Pravda. It’s a MUST-READ in my view. Check it out!

The article highlights how self-interest determines foreign policy with Russia. It also hints that US President Obama is deliberately avoiding meeting Russia’s Putin, whilst Putin is having bilats with leaders of Germany, France & the UK.

Any thoughts?

This is an excellent  article from  China’s influential Peoples’ Daily Online. Check  it out!

via American hegemony cannot bring security to Asia – People’s Daily Online.

Personally, I  found  the article well-reasoned, objective and worthy of attention. The central argument is that  the US  is the destabilizing force in Asia, and that countries, like Japan, would behave differently without  the US  in the  shadows.

In my opinion, we are  witnessing the decline of American hegemony and the rise of a new multi-polar World. Meanwhile, US military spending continues to dwarf all others. For me, matters have been aggravated by Obama‘s weak foreign policy.

Let me turn this in to an open question:

Has US foreign policy in Asia, under Obama, been a destabilizing influence on the region?

Any views?
