Somebody needs to tap Cameron on the shoulder and tell in him that the UK public is seriously concerned about the rise is Islamic extremism in the UK, especially in schools?

Merkel Likely To Seek EU Compromise with London – SPIEGEL ONLINE

This is a good article by Spiegel and well worth a read. Check it out!

via Merkel Likely To Seek EU Compromise with London – SPIEGEL ONLINE

The Spiegel article highlights the fragile state of the German coalition, and Angela Merkel‘s cautious balancing act. But the article highlights the historical importance of the UK not being pushed in to leaving the EU.

However, I still seriously worry about David Cameron‘s ability to broker a deal. Too often Cameron has made an off-hand remark that later weakens his negotiating position.

Surely, for once, David Cameron must keep his powder dry and continue to maneuver behind the scenes, trying to win over his European peers in private session, picking them off one by one? Throwing red meat to the extremely worried Tory back-benchers would lose him negotiating leverage, in my view.
