Following the latest tragedy in Canada, this NYT article links the dots and cites many examples of Islamic extremism in the West. Of course, there are moderate, law-abiding Muslim people living in Western countries but political Islam is on the increase. Personally, I fear that President Obama may well have been responsible for triggering the escalation in political Islam?

Dr Alf makes a good point but it is not just down to President Obama.
Militant Islam emanates from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and now Turkey in terms of funding.
Members of the Taliban are joining ISIS whose aim is a Global Caliphate.
In the West, our leaders sleep and refuse to act with ruthlessness and severity to protect us.
Today, I read, in no less than the Times, that taking away the passports of Jihadists will make the problem worse.
We reallly have gone soft in the head.
First, we need to remove the passports of Jihadists, then we need to intern them en-mass in remote places, like the Outer Hebrides and in the case of Canada, Baffin Island.
They should not be allowed visitors nor publicity.
Jihadists and seditionists and traitors need to have the Treason Act 1318 applied to them which means the death penalty preferably by firing squad at dawn.
Mosques need to be checked out to ensure that the sermons being preached by Imans are about the Koran and Allah.
Rogue mosques need to be razed to the ground and replaced with key worker housing and no more mosques should be built.
Rogue imans and Muslims not from here should be deported if they even show signs of radicalisation ,for example by marching in the street calling for Caliphates and Sharia law.
Moderate Muslims need to be carefully watched to ensure that they stay that way and whenever there is an outbreak of violence like the one in Ottowa the mosque that the person came from needs to be closed down and the iman called in by the police and read the Riot Act.
Further acts of violence or troublemaking should result in Muslim communities being placed in “lockdown” and the further internment of the most radicalised elements.
Muslims on the run who have engaged in sedition or treachery need to have a bounty placed on their heads.
We are effectively at war with militant Islam which cannot be reasoned with and needs to be eradicated from the face of the earth with no quarter given.
