Political leaders in Turkey will be very sensitive to this type of international survey. If one factors in the political  risk, including the proximity of ISIS, there is an increased risk that multi-nationals will pull out of Turkey. Turkey’s huge economic growth and the popularity of the current government is because of direct foreign investment. Turkey is putting her economic prosperity at risk with a foreign policy aspirations of rekindling the Ottoman Empire, rather than supporting Western geopolitical priorities.

The article cites the HSBC survey, carried out by YouGov, examining  34 countries, questioning immigrants on their experience of life in their new home, financial situation, and parenting.

Given the huge political crisis on immigration in the UK I was surprised at the following comment:

Switzerland tops the “Best Countries for Immigration” list, followed by Singapore, China,Germany, and Bahrain in second to fifth place. The United Kingdom and Egypt occupy thelast two places. Taiwan is eighth, and Hong Kong is tenth. The United States only ranks thirtieth.
