It is as Dr Alf says, a good thing that the GOP can apply pressure to Obama on foreign policy.

Iran is both a threat to the strategic balance in the Middle East and, for the time being, necessary as a tool to deal with the even bigger threats to that balance posed by Wahibis, backed by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait and by the slippery Erdogan in Turkey, our supposed ally.

Iran is containable because the majority of woman there, and the young want, a more moderate Western lifestyle, not a life building smuggling tunnels and firing rockets into Israel. The best way to do that is to create a mood for change in Iran, which sees the Ayatollahs marginalized and a new secular leader brought into power.

I always thought it a mistake to remove the Shah of Iran and bring the original Ayatollah back from exile in France.

Natanz and the centifruge sites, where Iran is supposedly building nuclear weapons, is 200 feet underground in a mountain and only Russia and America allegedly have thermobaric weapons, capable of penetrating that far down. Israel probably could not succeed on her own with a direct attack, and for now Iran can help act as some of the boots on the ground to attack and eliminate ISIS.

After ISIS is eradicated, there’s a need to reorder the Middle East chessboard and press to put in a secular leader into Turkey.

This is an amazing story from the Times of India. It’s a must-read. Check it out!

via Britain’s parliament now to be manned by cats – The Times of India.

It looks like there will soon be a big decision in No. 10 Downing Street. No this one is too big for David Cameron – it will go straight to Larry the Downing Street Cat! Larry is famous these days – foreign dignitaries, like President Obama, want to be presented to Larry. It looks like it’s a national emergency and there will be a call for Larry to deputize his friends from the Battersea Dog and Cats Home.

It’s a bit worrying that MPs are wasting their time debating pest control in Parliament? Perhaps, there are other more pressing matters for the MPs? Surely, it’s time to call ‘Larry’ and his pals?
