The UK jobs for foreigners debate needs to focus on the competitivity of the UK labor force. Check out this controversial article from the Telegraph, where UK Prime Minister, Cameron is on the defensive.

via David Cameron admits nearly 500,000 foreigners have joined British workforce since 2010 – Telegraph.

In my view, rather than focus on restrictions on immigration, David Cameron’s government should have focused on education and skills of the UK workforce. Also there should be fiscal/benefit incentives in favor of work. Compared to international benchmarks, Cameron’s record on increasing education, skills and  exports been ineffective – Also massive opportunities with China have been lost by careless remarks.
