Russia’s media is quick to pick up that the US is moving attack jets to Germany amid Ukraine tension.

Personally, I’m not convinced of the wisdom of the timing as the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France try one last-time for a diplomatic solution. These jets fly at super-sonic speed, so the only reason for them to move now is to put further pressure on Russia.

Let me turn this to an open question:

Was the US right to move the attack jets whilst diplomatic discussions are still in progress?
