Even if we accept the end goal, for a second, it’s worth pondering the different start points and the current economic landscape in Europe. For a variety of complex reasons, there’s an enormous economic, social and political divide between parts of North, South and Eastern Europe. Even now, with massive unemployment, there are vastly divergent views on reform and growth.
