Erdogan is a man who is past his sell by date with delusions of grandeur and a man hell bent on becoming the modern version of the Sultan of a new Ottoman Empire, using seriously questionable alliances to achieve his secret ambitions.
Democracy and being a loyal to NATO are not what he is about, and trying to persuade him to change direction is futile.
He needs to be replaced for his own sake, and for the sake of the rest of us who one day soon are going to have to deal with radicalized Islam everywhere on the planet.
