Despite massive numbers of robots, Japan is still dependent upon humans in bureaucracies, and one bureaucrat bungled, big-time. It’s amazing that Japan’s public IT systems permit opening of an external file attachment without protection.

It seems that bureaucracies in Japan are just as bad as Europe or North America.

Surely, part of the problem is that the bureaucracies and the bungling individuals are not held accountable?

It looks like Germany will go into long-term decline unless it embraces more immigration and infrastructure investment. However, with German economic orthodoxy favoring ordoliberalism and immigration a white-hot political factor, the outlook for Germany is not good.

As the Telegraph article highlights, Japan is in a better position to deal with the demographics of an aging population.

Let me ask an open question:

Surely Germany’s aging population will be bad news for the rest of Europe, as well?
