This is a must-read article by Clive Crook, published in Greece‘s leading newspaper, Ekathimerini. Check it out!
via ekathimerini.com | Europe asks the impossible of Greece.
The article cites the argument of the IMF‘s Chief Economist, Olivier Blanchard, whom I respect.
Sadly, there does not seem to be a deal-maker left who can bring the creditors and Greece to agreement. Part of the reason is the hostile language from the Prime Minister of Greece.
Possibly, the only potential deal-maker left is perhaps German Chancellor, Angela Merkel – for her there will be a political cost either way?
Thoughts?
What the EU is asking Greece is for the low waged and pensioners to die. That is it in a nutshell.
Much like the Tories in the UK.
