It remains to be seen how extreme will be the young Trudeau’s economic, defense and foreign policies. I sense that Trudeau will be haunted by the shadow of his famous father and may well try increasingly risky policy options. For sure, in four years time, Canada will be very different.
Thoughts?
If the young Trudeau formulates policies which are diametrically opposed to those of his predecessor Stephen Harper then Dr Alf’s concerns could well come true.
The non support for the anti Isis Coalition is a harbinger of what I would see as unwelcome and dangerous change presumably because this man wants inward investment from Kuwait,Saudi Arabia and Qatar which are all very heavy investors in America and the City of London.
Higher taxes and more spending on the poor is popular amongst this constituency and is tempting because there are many more voters in this category than there are in all the others.
It is a temptation that young Trudeau should resist because unless productive, creative and useful citizens are encouraged and supported Canada is on a hiding to nothing.
