Fox News reports that a teen girl from eastern Oregon has contracted the bubonic plague. It seems that there is circa seven cases of the bubonic plague reported each year in America.

Personally, I had thought that the plague was an extinct desease. In the Middle Ages, the plague nearly destroyed London.

These days the plague can be treated effectively with anti-biotics if caught early but there is no vaccine currently available.

  1. This sounds like bacteriological warfare experimentation gone wrong because the plague was eradicated years ago.
    Whoever is responsible for this deserves the death penalty for putting the public at risk.
