A massive rise in immigration next year could trigger a devastating crisis in Britain’s schools, housing and welfare services, according to a secret Government report leaked to The Mail on Sunday.

As I reflected on this important Mail article, I compared the difference in UK policy compared to Germany. At least in Germany the challenges are debated in the open.

It seems that the UK government is trying to hide the truth about migration.

Of course with the Brexit referendum looming, this is a highly politically charged issue.

Cyprus vessel reports Turkish warship harassment – in -Cyprus

According to this worrying report, the Foreign Ministry in Cyprus has alerted the US authorities of an incident off Paphos during which a Turkish warship approached a Cyprus-flagged ship and ordered the captain to leave the area.

Once again, Turkey’s foreign policy is provocative.

There is considerable Russian investment in Cyprus, and it will be interesting to see how Russia reacts, apart from the US.

I worry that Obama is strong enough to hold Turkey to task?
