The article suggests that Cameron should take the vacant middle ground of UK politics and become a ‘one nation Conservative‘.

Using Disraeli’s famous ‘one nation Conservative’ expression, I have always been proud to describe myself this way or as a compassionate conservative. In this blog, I have frequently questioned David Cameron’s credential as a compassionate conservative. Meanwhile, I fear that people, like George Osborne, are driven by the politics of a more right-wing conservatism that preserves privilege and advantage of the few.
