Having returned from a three month trip to Southeast Asia where I didn’t have too much regular exercise, I’m keen to get back into an exercise regime. I’ve found an excellent app for my smartphone called 7 Minute Workout. {Incidentally, I purchased a Viva Y31 smartphone in Bangkok and absolutely delighted – it’s a poor man’s IPhone at a small fraction of the price}.

In 12 exercises deploying only body weight, a chair and a wall, it fulfills the latest mandates for high-intensity effort, which essentially combines a long run and a visit to the weight room into about seven minutes of steady discomfort — all of it based on science.
I’ll publish my views on this workout in due course, especially whether it’s suitable for greybeards!
