The OECD reports on a  High-Level Meeting on excess capacity and structural adjustment in the steel sector convened on 18 April 2016, at the Palais d’Egmont in Brussels, co-organised by the OECD and the Belgian government.

The situation concerning steel is worrying. It highlights the weakness of economic growth. If we factor in political uncertainties, there are increasing risks of black clouds on the geopolitical horizon.
