Here’s a historic, must-read editorial from the Guardian. It argues that economists are agreed, as they never were on the euro, that quitting the EU will make Britain poorer. The Guardian considers it strange, in an economically conservative country, that many are refusing to listen.

The Economist lead this weak describes the refusal to listen to the evidence as post-truth politics. The context is clear, a move to the extreme right with racist views prevailing.

The UK is right to be unhappy with the EU and its often biased policies. Hopefully, common sense will prevail and the UK will decide to influence Europe from within rather than take on the extreme risks of being an outsider.
