This is an outstanding must-read article by Prof. David Spencer at Leeds University, published in the Conversation. In a well written article, he looks at immigration dispassionately and concludes that immigration has been wrongly blamed for the growing pressure on Britain’s public services.

Simply, immigrants are making a positive contribution and the reason for pressure on the health service and schools is to do with austerity, rather than immigration.
