Michael Gove is deluded – and he’s destroyed Boris too. Theresa May has been handed the Tory leadership | Voices | The Independent

This is an excellent article from John Rentoul in The Independent. He argues that Michael Gove has great qualities, but being popular with the general public is not one of them. He points out that both teachers and parents will be wary of Gove because of his record as Education Secretary.

As I indicated in an earlier reblog of a Guardian article, I struggle to see Gove has the leadership qualities to heal both party and country, plus negotiate Brexit.

  1. I have to agree wholeheartedly with Dr Alf about Michael Gove and between him and Boris’s rhetoric Boris has been damaged.
May as a Prime Minister is not an inspired choice as she has upset the police and the Chinese and comes across as cold.
I would have preferred someone more inspiring but the field looks to me like pretty thin pickings
