This is an insightful article from Pravda, Russia’s leading newspaper. It suggests that it is hard to find at least one US presidential candidate, who would speak in favor of US-Russian cooperation. However, the thrust of the article is more supportive of Trump and Clinton is described as a ‘blood thirsty hawk’.

Of course, back in the US, many Americans are questioning Trump’s sympathies for Russia. This is significant. For a comparison, look at how Obama‘s personal bias has changed US foreign policy.

  1. Dr Alf brings us an interesting conundrum concerning Donald Trump who is according to many getting ready to lose the election and start a right wing media empire to promote himself and his brand.
We will be left with Hillary Clinton who has already said there will be no US troops in either Iraq or Syria despite the fact that American weaponry is going into Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan plus Turkey before it finds itself being used directly by the Saudis in Yemen and by ISIS elsewhere.

America has no stomach for another Vietnam, although it would like to see Assad deposed or in exile and Iran brought to heel or its regime more Western focused.

A supposedly more isolationist Trump would suit Russia better than Hillary Clinton but in the end it will be her entering the White House but not in a position where she will have carte blanche to ignore some of the legitimate issues raised by “The Donald” in between his more bombastic outbursts.
