We will be left with Hillary Clinton who has already said there will be no US troops in either Iraq or Syria despite the fact that American weaponry is going into Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and Jordan plus Turkey before it finds itself being used directly by the Saudis in Yemen and by ISIS elsewhere.
America has no stomach for another Vietnam, although it would like to see Assad deposed or in exile and Iran brought to heel or its regime more Western focused.
A supposedly more isolationist Trump would suit Russia better than Hillary Clinton but in the end it will be her entering the White House but not in a position where she will have carte blanche to ignore some of the legitimate issues raised by “The Donald” in between his more bombastic outbursts.
