This is a useful read from WEF. Check it out! It argues that with our working lives increasingly under threat, we need to up-skill and retool just to survive. The article explores which skills we’ll need the most.

Whilst it’s an interesting read, the article is a bit simplistic. It highlights which jobs are most likely to be reduced, replaced by technology. Then it plots jobs on a two by two scale, looking at social skills and numeracy.

Judging by recent surveys, as well as numeracy, both the US and the UK were bottom of an OECD league comparing literacy. So perhaps basic literacy is required as well as social skills?

Personally, I’m looking forward to the jobs revolution in  big banks and the public sector where broken processes are typically given more priority than customer service.

Thoughts?
