This is an interesting article from Paul Goodwin, editor of Conservative Home. He highlights that there is a trade-off between the long-term interest of the economy and the short-term interest of many Leave voters.

Perhaps there is another dichotomy that of ‘Winners and Losers’. I sense that many of the traditional Labour voters in Northern cities who voted ‘Leave’ will be the biggest losers.

Any thoughts on Brexit Winners & Losers?

  1. Dr Alf is right in that many of the blue collar workers and marginalised people who voted for Brexit will lose out financially. Where I differ from him is that whereas he thinks that they will lose out because of Brexit I think that they will lose out to automation,AI,their own lack of skills and the continuing failure of UK CEO’s to get out of their boardrooms, get onto planes and win export sales.
