This is powerful stuff with cross-party MPs ready to challenge Theresa May‘s executive authority. We can expect big business to weigh in wanting to block a Hard Brexit. It is also likely that the unions will pitch in favor of Soft Brexit. Party whips will potentially be undermined by cross-party pressure. Many UK voters are uncomfortable with Theresa May’s lurch to the right and proposal to bypass parliament in terms of Brexit negotiations.
