This is probably one the blackest leads from the Economist I have seen in over fifty years. It reports that with his call to put “America First”, Donald Trump is the latest recruit to a dangerous nationalism.

The conclusion is a hope that Trump will see the light and not embark on progressive isolationism.
Personally, I’m an optimist and see that market forces, plus the checks and balances of US politics will provide inertia.
