German media outlet, DW, reports that as the EU and UK gear up for Brexit negotiations, MEPs have voted against holding exit talks and trade deal discussions concurrently. But Nigel Farage meanwhile caused outrage by likening the EU to the “mafia.”

Refusing to conduct parallel negotiations is not a surprise but Farage’s poisoning of negotiations by his hostile rhetoric is not helping the UK. With UKIP in melt-down, surely it’s time for the UK media and mainstream politicians to bury Farage?

  1. I watched the speech Farage made and he quickly changed the word Mafia to “gangsters” which wasn’t very much better. Dr Alf is right to say that this sort of inflammatory rhetoric is not helpful.
At the moment I think there is a lot of silly posturing ,”psyching out” and “grandstanding” going on between the EU and the UK Government with Boris and Fox being pretty ineffectual.
As for Farage he is enjoying himself as an LBC Radio “shock jock” and go between to Trump and Pence,a man who thinks that the earth is only 6000 years old despite Sanskrit,Enochian(the language uttered by Satanists),ancient Chinese being even older than that.
Farage is revelling in his new found fame and is finding solace in the arms of nubile young woman who probably resemble his estranged wife Kristen as she once was in her heyday.
As time goes on he will become a more remote and irrelevant figure and the process of self destruction between alchohol, cigarettes and debauchery will become apparrent.
“Burying him “,although tempting ,might transform him into a martyr destroyed by an unfeeling Establishment hellbent on destroying a latter day “Robin Hood” trying to save the poulation from the nasty “Sherrif of Nottingham”.
