According to WEF, researchers may have found a way to halt the development of both type 2 diabetes and obesity in humans using a recently discovered protein.

This is important news because obesity and the related type 2 diabetes are now a global problem, fueled by junk-food, lifestyle and poor personal healthcare.
It is possible to address obesity and type 2 diabetes without medication but that take strong personal discipline. Part of the problem is that public healthcare does not penalize those who are lazzy and ill-disciplined. Clearly, in the UK, healthcare spending policy needs a strategic overhaul.
