Clearly foreigners are going home as the uncertainties of Brexit loom. Also the Brexit referendum triggered an outbreak of xenophobic attacks.

Meanwhile, UK workers lack the skills and motivation to match the available jobs.

The trend will get worse until the Brexit terms are clear. So along with austerity, the NHS must now deal with a labour shortage.

Surely, after from accelerating Brexit negotiations, government policy must get the unemployed back to work?
