It reports that the first China-US Comprehensive Economic Dialogue (CED) kicked off in Washington Wednesday with the mission to expand the 100-Day Plan to a one-year scheme and to consolidate bilateral economic cooperation.

The case presented by the editorial is quite compelling. Of course, ‘win-win’ is the best outcome.
But the Trump presidency seems to lurch from crisis to crisis, with an increasing pull towards American nationalism and the Far Right.
With powerful domestic audiences, both the US & Chinese leaders need to find ‘win-win’ solutions, otherwise world trade could quickly be at risk.
