As Dr Alf knows, this is much more than a game of “chicken”, as it could easily lead to World War III.
The PNAC website specifically identifies North Korea, Russia and China as targets for regime change and North Korea has been “war-gamed” several times, using the “Wisdom Warfare” system.
America could use its Space Command complete with fully cloaked weapons to obliterate North Korea from space without committing a single soldier but there are obvious risks in so doing including having to admit that this force exists in abrogation of treaties and what the rest of the world knows or thinks it knows.
Committing ground troops, using bunker busting bombs to take out the corpulent Kim Jong Un would cause horrendous casualties and probably trigger World War III before the allotted time which is likely to be within the next 20 years.
Containment by Tesla shield placed over North Korea to include the border and a second one over Seoul is probably the best policy because it would render their missiles ineffective.
Starving that country into submission with sanctions is dangerous and would provoke the North Koreans who would have nothing to lose.
In the end they will not give up their nuclear weapons and in their position I would not do so given what happened to Gaddafi and what people think happened to Saddam Hussein.
